Solutions Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Solutions Engineer to support and scale the systems that power our market data solutions. In this role, you will be on the front lines of diagnosing and resolving issues, detecting data anomalies, and building automation that streamlines operations. You will balance day-to-day troubleshooting and bug fixes with long-term initiatives, such as developing a central library of reusable solutions and eliminating internal operational bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Detect & Resolve Market Data Anomalies: Actively monitor, investigate, and remediate data feed discrepancies, pipeline integrity issues, and market data anomalies to ensure high reliability and accuracy for our clients.

  • Bug Triage & Resolution: Efficiently troubleshoot, root-cause, and fix bugs across the application and data processing pipelines, maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and performance.

  • Solutions Library Management: Build, curate, and maintain a standardized knowledge base and code/script library for recurring issues, empowering faster triage and cross-team self-service.

  • Internal Process Automation: Identify operational and technical bottlenecks that hinder team velocity in the short and long term; design and implement pragmatic automations to eliminate manual overhead.

  • System & Code Maintenance: Review, test, and optimize application logic and pipeline scripts, applying modern tooling and best practices to improve developer and support workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical operations, ideally within a data-intensive or fintech environment.

  • Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, .NET/C#).

  • Hands-on troubleshooting ability: Demonstrated experience debugging complex distributed systems, tracking down edge-case bugs, and analyzing raw data feeds.

  • Automation mindset: Proven track record of identifying repetitive manual tasks or inefficient workflows and replacing them with robust scripts, tooling, or automated pipelines.

  • Familiarity with DevOps & Version Control: Comfortable with Git, CI/CD workflows, and modern cloud/containerized environments.

  • Practical experience working with AI-assisted developer tools like Claude Code to accelerate problem-solving, along with an understanding of market data structures and pipelines.

What We're Looking For

A proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver who enjoys getting under the hood of complex systems. You take pride in finding the root cause of elusive data anomalies, squashing bugs, and leaving systems cleaner and more automated than you found them. Rather than solving the same problem twice, you have the foresight to document solutions and automate repetitive friction away.
